Ceremonies and Receptions


The Saracen’s head holds a licence for civil marriages, our function room lends itself as a perfect venue for civil weddings and partnerships. To hold a ceremony at the Saracen’s Head, we require you to pre-book a Registrar at the appropriate Registry Office. We suggest checking to Registrar’s availability before confirming your booking. you will need to tell them where and when you like the ceremony to take place.

 

If you wish to hold your civil ceremony at the Saracen’s Head, a ceremony fee of £350 will be charged.

 

We can facilitate your ceremony through to your evening reception, tailoring your package to meet your exact requirements. We can cater for your ceremony only reception after holding your ceremony elsewhere or the complete package.

 

The perk of hosting your entire day with us means you can relax and enjoy the build-up of your big day with minimal points of contact to deal with.

 

 

Bespoke Weddings


Your Wedding is unquestionably one of the most memorable days of your life. It’s a day you will never forget so let us make it a reflection of your own individual style. Working with our Events Co-ordinator and an experienced enthusiastic team, we will create your perfect day so can have it your way, not ours. Our function room inspires a blank canvas for your wedding, enabling you to really make the day your own.

 

We can accommodate:

A maximum of 75 guests for a ceremony.

A maximum of 80 guests for your wedding reception.

(We can accommodate larger weddings, however, this will incur an additional cost for a marquee, which we will need to quote separately).

If you are looking for a more casual, non-sit-down event. The function room can hold up to 80 guests for a reception, however, there would not be seating available for everyone.

 

For smaller, more intimate reception areas, you also have a choice of two dining areas. Our rustic and beautifully decorated restaurant can seat up to 30 guests. Our library area can seat up to 24 guests, the choice is yours. Please note, if you decide to use either of these areas for a smaller reception, the venue hire fee is quoted on an individual basis.
